" I've always been into horror movies and have a weird fascination with
the supernatural. I'd often felt like having a go on Ouija board. When I
was about 14 I made several boards but my mates always bottled out at last
minute. Then last year at school, I walked into a classroom during lunch
to find a group of girls i didn't know very well messing with a fake Ouija
board, made with chalk and bits of torn-up paper with letters on.
I watched them for a few minutes but nothing happened, so I said it was
probably because the board was so naff. I showed them how to make a proper
one and the five of us sat in a circle, each with one finger on the glass,
eager to have a go on the real thing.
None of us expected anything to happen at school in broad daylight, but
when we asked if there was a spirit present, it spelt oout 'Yeko'.My hear
started beating faster and suddenly the room got really tense. A couple
of girls accused each other of puching the glass, but when we lifted our
fingers it still moved. We asked why it was here. There was a pause, then
the glass whizzed around. Our faces dropped as it spelled out 'Kill'.
Everyone was totally freaked out and legged it from the room. But once
outside we decided we couldn't leave without releasing the spirit. We went
back again and begged the spirit to allow us to exit the board without
harm coming to us. We were so relieved when the glass moved tothe word
'Yes". At the end of the lessons we burned the board and dumped it.
None of us could sleep that night, in case something horrible happened,
but we're all still fine. I haven't touched a Quija board since and I don't
think I ever will."
